Liverpool will be hoping to cement their position at the top of the table with a win over Aston Villa at Villa Park this afternoon.

Jurgen Klopp has decided not to risk Fabinho as he’s one booking away from being ruled out of the Man City game next weekend. Adam Lallana therefore starts alongside Jordan Henderson and Gini Wijnaldum in midfield today after they were recalled following their rest against Arsenal.

Mohamed Salah is also passed fit to start in the Liverpool attack despite carrying an ankle issue while Sadio Mane and Roberto Firmino come back into the front three after being rested in the Carabao Cup in midweek.

Alisson Becker starts in goal while Trent Alexander-Arnold, Dejan Lovren, Virgil van Dijk and Andy Robertson are all recalled in the back four with the likes of Joe Gomez and James Milner dropping to the bench.

Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain also makes way despite his impressive performance for Liverpool on Wednesday night while Naby Keita is fit to make the bench after making a swift recovery from a knock that he picked up in midweek.

Here are the confirmed line-ups:
