Manchester United take on AZ Alkmaar in their final Europa League group stage game at Old Trafford on Thursday night. Here is the team we think Ole Gunnar Solskjaer will select for the game:

Goalkeeper: David De Gea is expected to be rested so Sergio Romero should resume duties between the sticks tomorrow night.

Defence: Solskjaer will rest several of his key players ahead of Sunday’s Premier League clash with Everton so Aaron Wan-Bissaka, Harry Maguire and Victor Lindelof should all get the night off. Luke Shaw started against Man City last weekend so he may also be given a breather.

Ashley Young could come in at right-back while Axel Tuanzebe is set for a recall in the middle of the back four. Marcos Rojo is still not fit to feature so Phil Jones could be brought back into the fold after not making the squad for the last four games.

Youngster Brandon Williams has impressed this season after breaking into the first team set-up and he could be given another chance at left-back tomorrow night. Diogo Dalot is back in full training but this game comes too soon so he remains out along with Eric Bailly and Tim Fosu-Mensah.

Midfield: Manchester United have been boosted by the return of Nemanja Matic after he recovered from a muscle injury that’s hampered him for the past two months and he’s set to start in midfield with Scott McTominay rested.

Fred has played a lot of football lately so I expect him to be given a breather while Paul Pogba is still not available as Solskjaer says the Frenchman is aiming to be back in the squad by the end of the month. Therefore, youngster James Garner is being tipped to start tomorrow night.

Attack: United have already secured their place in the knockout stages so I expect Anthony Martial, Marcus Rashford and Daniel James to be given a rest while Jesse Lingard didn’t train today so he’s not likely to feature.

Mason Greenwood should get another chance to impress up front while Juan Mata could be recalled to start in the attacking midfield role after failing to command a regular first team place in recent weeks.

Andreas Pereira may also come in to the United attack after being named on the bench for the win at City while teenage academy graduate Tahith Chong could get a run out on the left wing.

Here is how we think Manchester United will line-up:
