Neymar Stuns Chelsea By Turning Back On £30m Move
Brazilian youngster Neymar has made a shocking U-turn by claiming that he has no plans to sign for Chelsea in the Barclays Premier League next season.
After making it into the top headlines recently for revealing a possible move to Stamford Bridge, the Santos striker stunned everyone by insisting that he will stay at his current club despite a busy transfer window will most probably await him when the season ends.
After being sandwiched by the media during his return to Brazil, Neymar said :
I have no desire to play in Europe. I’m happy in Brazil and at Santos.
The 19-year-old found the back of the net two times when he inspired his national side to a satisfying 2-0 victory over Scotland during Brazil’s international friendly fixture.
Santos president Luis Alvaro Ribeiro de Oliveira has once advised Neymar to not sign for Chelsea as he believes the £30 million rated striker would be a major flop if he happens to feature in the Barclays Premier League. Neymar was previously linked with a move to West Ham United one season ago, who had a £12 million bid rejected, but The Hammers later backed off because of Chelsea’s interest.
