Chelsea faces Liverpool at the Stamford Bridge in the biggest derby from the opening round of the Premier League. It’d be a good idea to stay with us and take a look at our verified soccer predictions.

After a disastrous last season, Chelsea made their best to change the situation. Of course, everything started with the appointment of Mauricio Pochettino as manager. During his spell at Tottenham Hotspur, Pochettino already proved his worth in England. Now he will have to do it again.

Some new players also arrived. RB Leipzig’s star Christopher Nkunku is among the players who bring the most hope among the fans. He did some wonders in Germany, but let’s see if he can do it in England, too. Unfortunately, he’s been ruled out with an injury until the New Year. At the same time players like Disasi, Nicolas Jackson, Lesley Ugochukwu, Robert Sanchez and Angelo also joined the club.

Last season Chelsea were in chaos, so for Pochettino it won’t be easy to make the players click again. But he doesn’t have a choice – he has to try.

After being left out of Top 4 last season, Liverpool don’t have any other option here – they need to step up. The fans won’t forgive the team another failure. The manager Jurgen Klopp knows it and the players know it as well.

On the market Liverpool spend some serious money to strengthen their midfield. They did it by bringing two players – RB Leipzig’s Dominik Szoboszlai and Brighton & Hove Albion’s Alexis Mac Allister. They are also closing-in on a deal for Moises Caicedo. The club said goodbye to some players as well – Fabinho, Roberto Firmino, Jordan Henderson and James Milner all packed their bags to seek new challenges.

Mohamed Salah remains Liverpool’s biggest star. The 31-years old Egyptian will try to lead the team by example, alongside the star center-back Virgil van Dijk.

This will be an interesting match between two sides looking to bounce back from disappointing campaigns. Chelsea have home advantage but Liverpool look the stronger of the two teams on paper. Here are our predictions:
