TRANSFER NEWS: Arsenal & Spurs Do Battle For Argentine
Inter Milan star Diego Milito has been the latest player to be linked with a move to Premiership side Arsenal.
Despite failing to make any significant impact this season due to various injuries, Milito has got quite a good goalscoring record for Inter Milan, netting 27 times in a total of 53 appearances.
The Argentinian’s desire to play in the Barclays Premier League has immediately captured the attention of many Premiership clubs, including the likes of Tottenham Hotspur and Arsenal.
Tottenham Hotspur will be needing to bring in an attacker as they are expected to part company with Russian forward Roman Pavlyuchenko this summer.
Meanwhile, Arsenal are the current favourites to lure Diego Milito to the Emirates in a bargain £5 million deal. The Gunners have been in desperate need for a world class striker for the last couple of seasons, and with Danish striker Nicklas Bendtner very likely to depart, Diego Milito seems to be the ideal replacement.
