Man Utd Transfer News: Fergie Lining Up £25m Bid For Long-Term Target

Man Utd are lining up a £25m summer bid for Everton midfielder Jack Rodwell, according to reports.

United boss Sir Alex Ferguson has been tracking Rodwell for almost 2 years now and has made enquiries for the midfielder in previous transfer windows. Its believed Fergie is determined to get his man and is prepared to wait until the summer to land the 20-year-old, who he sees as a major part of his long term plans at Old Trafford.

Everton are in severe financial difficulties and it’s thought they are finally prepared to cash in on their prized asset and a £25m bid may be enough to secure the move to Manchester. Although this figure could rise if Rodwell continues to impress England coach Fabio Capello, and secure’s a place in his England Euro 2012 squad.
