With the summer transfer window in full swing, Football Talk will be keeping you up-to-date with all the latest transfer news throughout the summer. Today, Tottenham are linked with Brazilian midfielder Oscar.
Tottenham manager Andre Villas-Boas is continuing to re-shape his new squad after launching an £11m bid to sign Brazilian youngster Oscar, according to the Daily Mail.
AVB wasted little time in securing his first signing after completing an £8m deal to land Gylfi Sigurdsson on Wednesday and has followed that up by making an official approach to Internacional for midfielder Oscar.
Spurs will have to improve upon their opening bid of £11m if they are to land the 20-year-old though, as the Mail claim that the Brazilians value the starlet at nearer £20m. However, it’s believed that both clubs, as well as the player, are keen to secure a deal and further talks are expected.
Villas-Boas sees the exciting youngster as a replacement for Luka Modric, who is expected to leave the club this summer.
The report also claims that AVB has made a goalkeeper a priority this summer and is considering a swoop for Lyon’s Hugo Lloris.
