Man Utd Transfer News: Boss Confirms Winger Interest
Zenit St Petersburg coach Luciano Spalletti has confirmed the club is interested in signing Manchester United winger Nani this summer, but will the player move?

Zenit St Petersburg coach Luciano Spalletti has confirmed the club is interested in signing Manchester United winger Nani.
Nani can no longer consider himself a first team regular at Old Trafford with boss Sir Alex Ferguson seemingly seeing Ashley Young and Antonia Valencia as his two main wingers.
The Portuguese international could find his first-team chances dented further by the arrivals of Robin van Persie and Shinji Kagawa this summer, so the 25-year-old may be open to the idea of a move.
Reports last week suggested Zenit St Petersburg were keen on luring him to Russia and coach Luciano Spalleti has confirmed his interest but insists they wont be paying over the odds.
‘The news about Nani is true,’
‘Everything will depend on how much players cost because we won’t pay excessive amounts of money.’
Spalletti is quoted as saying in the Daily Mail.
He was then asked if he had tabled a bid and the Zenit boss confirmed they had made an offer to United but hadn’t spoken to the player as yet:
“I’m not talking about an offer to a particular player, but an offer to a club.’
‘If the club won’t sell a player, then there’s no thought of making an offer to the player himself.’

While Manchester United may be willing to sell Nani this summer, it remains to be seen whether the player would be open to a move to Russia. The chances are Nani would reject it, so Spalletti will have his work cut out trying to persuade him to move to Russia.
