England striker Wayne Rooney returned after a three week absence to score what turned out to be the winner in the 9th minute as he slid home after being set up by Hernandez. Rooney then wasted a chance to seal the game when he blazzed a late penalty over the bar but it didn’t matter as United held on for a 1-0 victory. The win secures a fourth round tie with Fulham at Old Trafford. Watch the goal from game here:
