Tottenham’s disappointing week continued as they let a one-goal lead slip to West Ham at White Hart Lane to crash out of the Capital One Cup.
Spurs went ahead through a well-worked Emmanuel Adebayor volley before Matthew Jarvis levelled with just 10 minutes remaining. Spurs pushed for a winner but substitute Modibo Maiga stunned the home crowd by putting the Hammers 2-1 ahead in the 85th minute with a powerful header.
