Tottenham Hotspur booked their place in the fourth round of the Capital One Cup with a narrow 2-1 win over Nottingham Forest on Wednesday night.
After a goalless first half, Forest took a shock lead when Jorge Grant fired home from inside the area but Spurs drew level when sub Ryan Mason found the top corner with a stunning long-range effort in the 72nd minute.
Roberto Soldado then put the hosts ahead when he turned home Andros Townsend’s shot before Harry Kane sealed the win with a late third.
