Liverpool eased into the semi finals of the Capital One Cup with a 3-1 win over Bournemouth at Dean Court this evening.
The Reds opened the scoring in the 20th minute when Raheem Sterling met Jordan Henderson’s pull back with a deft headed finish before Lazar Markovic fired home a loose ball for 2-0 fifteen minute later.
The Merseysiders then all-but booked their place in the last four when Sterling grabbed his second of the game just after half-time.
Bournemouth pulled one back in the 57th minute but there was to be no heroic comeback as Liverpool held on to seal the victory and ensure their place in the hat for the semi final draw.
