Liverpool vs Bolton Preview, Team News, Likely Line-Up, Prediction & Betting Tips

Liverpool take Bolton Wanderers at Anfield tomorrow in the FA Cup. Here’s a preview with team news, line-up, predicted score and betting tips for the game.

Liverpool will be looking to avoid an upset when they entertain Bolton Wanderers in the fourth round of the FA Cup on Saturday evening.

The Reds booked their place in the next stage of the competition with a narrow 2-1 away win at AFC Wimbledon and Brendan Rodgers will be hoping to secure safe passage to the fifth round with minimal fuss tomorrow.

The Merseysiders warmed up for the game with a 1-1 draw against Chelsea at Anfield on Tuesday night in the first leg of their Capital One Cup semi final, but they’ll have to put a possible final at Wembley to the back of their minds and concentrate on the task at hand.

Team News

Rodgers is expected to rest a few of his key men with skipper Steven Gerrard and Raheem Sterling among those likely to be given a breather.

Glen Johnson is back in contention after recovering from injury but Javier Manquillo is likely to start in the right-wing role.

Joe Allen and Mario Balotelli are also available again but may have to make do with places on the bench.

Rodgers has confirmed that 17-year-old Jordan Rossiter will feature heavily in the game so he could start in midfield alongside Lucas Leiva.

As for Bolton, Emile Heskey could start against his former club but midfielder Chung-Yong Lee will miss out with a leg injury.

Predicted Score

Liverpool 2-0 Bolton: The Reds have found a bit of form lately and as long as they can put Wednesday’s semi final with Chelsea to the back of their minds, I think they’ll have enough to get past Bolton tomorrow. It’s expected to be a full house again at Anfield but if you want to try and pick up a late ticket, then visit ticketing website 1st4footballtickets.com and you might get lucky. If not, then you can watch the game from the comfort of your own home on BT Sport and I think we’ll see Liverpool ease to a 2-0 victory.

Betting Tips

Liverpool are the favourites to win the game but Football-Talk readers can get enhanced odds of 3/1 on a home victory, plus you can win a £100 free bet bundle. A 2-0 win is on offer at 6/1 while I also like the look of Fabio Borini to open the scoring at 10/3. If we combine those bets in a scorecast, then we get very tempting odds of 14/1. Surely that’s got to be worth a couple of quid!?
