By on February 14, 2015

Liverpool came from a goal down to beat Crystal Palace 2-1 at Selhurst Park tonight and book their place in the quarter finals of the FA Cup.

The hosts took an early lead when Frazier Campbell was on hand to fire home into an empty net after Dwight Gayle’s initial effort was saved by Simon Mignolet in the 15th minute.

Palace held on until half-time but Liverpool found an equaliser shortly after the break when Jordan Henderson found Daniel Sturridge with a lovely floated ball over the top and the striker buried his first time volley through the legs of Speroni for 1-1.

The Reds completed the turn-around less than 10 minutes later when Adam Lallana was on hand to slot home after Mario Balotelli’s powerful free-kick was only parried out by the Palace goalkeeper.

The hosts pushed for an equaliser but Liverpool held on to book their place in the hat for the last eight draw.
