[Video] Jack Wilshere Responds To Assault Allegations After London Nightclub Brawl

Arsenal midfielder Jack Wilshere has denied claims that he was involved in an alleged assault that occurred in London’s West End in the early hours of Sunday morning, according to ESPN.
Wilshere once again hit the headlines for all the wrong reasons after the Mirror released exclusive video footage last night showing the midfielder being questioned by police following an altercation at trendy nightspot Cafe de Paris.
The report suggested that Wilshere was at the centre of the brawl with a nightclub promoter claiming the Arsenal star had struck him as the two groups were thrown out of the club at around 2am on Sunday morning.
No arrests were made at the time as police continue their investigations but an Arsenal spokesman told the Mirror that they are aware of the incident and confirmed they would have words with Wilshere.
“The club is aware of the incident and will be talking about it with Jack.”
It appears the club have now spoken to the 24-year-old as a club spokesman has now told ESPN that Wilshere is ‘adamant’ he wasn’t involved in the alleged assault.
“He is adamant he didn’t assault anybody,”
The entire Arsenal squad were given Sunday off following our 4-0 victory over Watford on Saturday afternoon and Wilshere didn’t break any ruled by going out on Saturday night, but you’d still expect Arsene Wenger to have strong words with the midfielder.
Jack has only recently returned to full training after missing the entire season through injury so you’d think his focus would be on getting back to full fitness in order to force his way in to Wenger’s first team plans ahead of the Euro’s this summer, and not going out on the town.
The boss will no doubt be disappointed to learn of this latest unsavory incident as Wilshere has been warned about his behaviour numerous times in the past and it seems he’s more often than not hitting the back pages for his off-field antics rather than what he’s doing on the pitch.
Here is the video that was published by the Mirror of Jack being quizzed by police:
