Granit Xhaka scored the winner as Arsenal came from behind to book a date with Manchester City at Wembley thanks to a 2-1 win over Chelsea at the Emirates.
The Blues started brightly and got a deserved goal when Eden Hazard cut through the Arsenal defence to slot past David Ospina for 0-1 in the 7th minute.
However, the Gunners drew level just minutes later and it was an extremely fortunate goal as Nacho Monreal’s headed deflected off the head of both Marcos Alonso and Antonio Rudiger before finding the back of the net.
Arsenal then took the lead in the 60th minute as Alexandre Lacazette’s cut back deflected off Rudiger and in to the path of Granit Xhaka who poked home from close range for 2-1.
Chelsea pushed for an equaliser but Arsenal held on to secure a 2-1 win which books their place in the final next month where they’ll take on league leaders Manchester City.
