Manchester United take on Huddersfield at Old Trafford on Saturday. Here is a preview with the latest team news, line-ups and prediction
Manchester United will be looking to get back to winning ways when they take on Huddersfield at Old Trafford on Saturday afternoon.
The Reds need to bounce back immediately as they head in to the weekend action off the back of a hugely disappointing 2-0 defeat to Tottenham at Wembley on Wednesday night.
That loss has left United 15 points adrift of Manchester City so even Jose Mourinho has now conceded the title after admitting his side are now battling for second spot.
United currently sit three points clear of Liverpool but with just five points separating second from fifth, the race for the top four is going to be close so Mourinho’s side can’t afford another slip-up tomorrow.
Huddersfield arrive at Old Trafford after being soundly beaten by Liverpool in midweek and they now sit just one point above the relegation zone so the visitors desperately need a positive result.
Team news
United will be without Marouane Fellaini after he picked up a knee injury in midweek while Eric Bailly and Zlatan Ibrahimovic also remain sidelined.
Mourinho could decide to freshen things up with Marocs Rojo, Luke Shaw, Juan Mata and Marcus Rashford all pushing for recalls.
Huddersfield will be without Danny Williams due to a leg injury while Chris Lowe is a doubt with a groin injury.
Expected line-ups
Predicted Score
Man Utd 2-0 Huddersfield: United were woeful at Tottenham so Mourinho needs a response and this should be a good game for them. The Red Devils are strong at home and I don’t think they’ll have too many problems breaking Huddersfield down.
