Liverpool are plotting a shock move for Marouane Fellaini with the Reds ready to offer the Manchester United midfielder a lucrative three-year contract, according to reports in France via the Mirror.
Fellaini has made over 150 appearances for United since making a move from Everton in 2013 and he’s won the Europa League, FA Cup and League Cup during his time at Old Trafford.
The 30-year-old has endured a frustrating campaign as a serious knee injury has restricted him to making just 19 appearances in all competitions with the midfielder starting just 3 Premier League games so far.
Fellaini’s future at United is in serious doubt as his contract is due to expire in June and the 6ft 4in midfielder is expected to leave this summer after failing to agree terms over an extension.
It looks like Liverpool are now eyeing a shock swoop as the Mirror are citing a report from L’Equipe that claims Jurgen Klopp has identified Fellaini as a potential summer transfer target.
The French publication says Liverpool are ready to offer the Belgian international a lucrative three-year contract to make what would be a controversial move to Anfield this summer.
Klopp is expected to be in the market for a new midfielder as Emre Can continues to be linked with a move having failed to sign a new contract and it seems Fellaini could be earmarked as a replacement for the German.
However, Liverpool aren’t the only club in the race as the Mirror claims that Monaco, Paris Saint-Germain and Besiktas are also vying for Fellaini’s signature this summer.

We’ll have to wait and see how things develop over the coming weeks but I’d personally be shocked if Fellaini ended up swapping United for Liverpool and expect him to move abroad if he leaves Old Trafford.
