Chelsea Ready To Steal March On Arsenal & Liverpool With £30m Midfielder Swoop
Chelsea are ready to steal a march on Arsenal and Liverpool by launching a £30m swoop for Nice midfielder Jean-Michael Seri this summer
The transfer window may be closed but managers are working hard on their plans for the summer so we’ll bring you all the latest gossip from around the globe. Today, Chelsea are linked with Jean-Michael Seri…
Chelsea are ready to steal a march on Arsenal and Liverpool by launching a £30m swoop for Nice midfielder Jean-Michael Seri this summer, according to the Mirror.
Seri has been one of the best all-round midfielders in French football since joining Nice from Pacos de Ferreira in 2015 while he’s also a regular with the Ivory Coast national team.
The 26-year-old’s form has attracted interest from the Premier League with the Mirror claiming that Arsenal, Chelsea and Liverpool have all expressed their interest in signing Seri ahead of the summer.
The Gunners are gearing-up for a summer overhaul with a new central midfielder on the agenda as Jack Wilshere likely to leave after failing to agree terms over a new contract and Seri has emerged as a prime target.
Jurgen Klopp is also on the look out for a new midfielder as Emre Can is increasingly likely to leave Anfield when his contract expires in June and the Merseysiders are also eyeing the Ivorian star.
However, it seems Chelsea are ready to steal a march on their rivals as the Mirror claims Roman Abramovich is pressing ahead with a £30m swoop for long-term target Seri.
Boss Antonio Conte is expected to leave this summer but the newspaper says Abramovich still wants to push ahead with their transfer plans despite uncertainty over who’ll be in charge next season.
The Blues need to strengthen after falling off the pace this campaign and a new midfielder could be on the cards as Tiemoue Bakayoko has failed to settle since arriving from Monaco last summer.

We’ll have to wait and see how things develop over the coming weeks as there is still time for Arsenal and Liverpool to challenge Chelsea for Seri’s signature and I think he’d be a superb signing for any of the English trio.
