Club Ready To Sell: Liverpool Linked With Swoop For £100m Attacker
Liverpool have been handed a major boost in their pursuit of Ousmane Dembele as Barcelona are now actively looking to sell the attacker this summer
The summer transfer window is about to open and managers are working hard on their transfer targets so we’ll bring you all the latest gossip from around the globe. Today, the latest on Ousmane Dembele…
Liverpool have been handed a major boost in their pursuit of Ousmane Dembele as Barcelona are now actively looking to sell the attacker this summer, according to a report by TeamTalk.
Dembele forged a reputation as one of the best young attackers in European football during his time at Borussia Dortmund which earned him a move to Barca last summer worth up to £110m.
However, the 20-year-old endured a frustrating debut season in Spain as he missed a large part of the campaign with a serious hamstring injury and struggled to force his way back in to the starting eleven after returning to fitness in January.
Dembele started just 11 La Liga games under Ernesto Valverde last season leading to speculation he could be on the move this summer and Liverpool have been strongly linked in recent months.
TeamTalk carried a report earlier this week that claimed Liverpool were eyeing a sensational £100m swoop for the French international as Jurgen Klopp looks to strengthen his attacking options this summer.
It looks like the Reds have now been handed a huge boost as TeamTalk are now citing a report from RAC1 that claims Barcelona have decided to cash-in on Dembele and are actively seeking out potential buyers.
The French radio station says Barca have made contact with several leading European clubs to see if they are interested in signing Dembele either on an initial season-long loan or permanent deal.
Klopp has one of the most dangerous attacks in world football at his disposal but he knows he needs to add depth behind the likes of Mo Salah, Sadio Mane and Roberto Firmino if Liverpool are to compete on all fronts next season.
Dembele is capable of playing anywhere across the attacking positions so he’d give Klopp plenty of options in the final third and the pair know each-other well from their time at Dortmund.

We’ll have to wait and see how things develop over the coming weeks but I think Dembele would be an excellent signing if Liverpool could lure him to Anfield this summer.
