Duo passed fit as Emery makes 2 changes | Expected Arsenal line-up vs Huddersfield

Arsenal will look to move level on points with fourth-placed Chelsea with a win over Huddersfield Town at the John Smith’s Stadium on Saturday afternoon. Here is the side Gooner Mac thinks Unai Emery will select for the game:

Goalkeeper: Bernd Leno may have conceded three times against Manchester City last weekend but he was actually one of our best players and made 9 saves to keep the score-line respectable. The German will keep his place tomorrow with Petr Cech on the bench.

Defence: Emery went with a back three against City but I wouldn’t be surprised to see us reverting to a back four at Huddersfield. Laurent Koscielny made a successful return for Arsenal last weekend following a jaw injury so he should keep his place while Shkodran Mustafi appears to have shaken off a minor back problem that forced him off against City. I’d expect him to get the nod with Nacho Monreal the man to make way.

Sokratis is back in light training after an ankle injury but he’s still not available so remains on the sidelines along with Hector Bellerin and Rob Holding. Ainsley Maitland-Niles has returned to full training after recovering from a knee injury that’s kept him out recently so he could return at right-back in place of Stephan Lichtsteiner. Sead Kolasinac should keep his place on the left.

Midfield: Arsenal are expected to be without Granit Xhaka tomorrow. The Switzerland international missed the trip to City last week with a groin problem and although he’s been in light training, it doesn’t appear he’ll be in contention this weekend.

Matteo Guendouzi was excellent against City in the first half so he should keep his place alongside Lucas Torreira in midfield with Mohamed Elneny on the bench.

Attack: Denis Suarez made his debut off the bench at the Etihad but it looks like he’s going to need some time to get used to the Premier League following his deadline day loan move to Arsenal so I think he’ll be a sub again tomorrow.

Mesut Ozil was an unused sub at City and I think he’ll once again be named on the bench against Huddersfield so Aaron Ramsey could be in-line for a recall in the attacking midfield role.

Henrikh Mkhitaryan is pushing for a recall to the squad after recovering from a fractured foot so suddenly we have plenty of attacking options. However, I think a place on the bench is the best he can hope for as Alex Iwobi is likely to keep his place in attack.

Alexandre Lacazette and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang have both been starting lately and I hope we see that trend continue tomorrow – although I think the Arsenal boss may play with one up top with Auba the most likely to be deployed out wide.

Here is how I think we’ll see Arsenal line-up:
