Manchester United will be desperate to halt Liverpool’s title charge when the two north-west rivals face-off at Old Trafford this afternoon.
United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has been handed a major boost as number one David De Gea has been passed fit to start in goal despite picking up a groin injury while playing for Spain last week.
It looks like Man Utd will go with a back three/five as Aaron Wan-Bissaka, Harry Maguire, Victor Lindelof, Axel Tuanzebe and Ashley Young all start. Solskjaer has also gone with Fred alongside Scott McTominay in midfield so there is no place for Nemanja Matic.
Anthony Martial is only fit enough for a place on the bench after recovering from a thigh injury so Andreas Pereira supports Daniel James and Marcus Rashford in attack this afternoon.
Liverpool welcome Alisson Becker back into the starting eleven after he recovered from a calf injury that’s kept him on the sidelines since the opening weekend of the season. Adrian makes way despite impressing during Alisson’s absence.
However, Mohamed Salah hasn’t travelled to Old Trafford due to an ankle injury so Divock Origi comes in to join Roberto Firmino and Sadio Mane in the Liverpool attack. Joel Matip returns from injury so Joe Gomez makes way at the back.
