Man Utd lead race to sign Arsenal target Dusan Vlahovic
Manchester United are reportedly in front of the queue to sign Arsenal target and Juventus forward Dusan Vlahovic in the summer, as per the Italian outlet Calciomercato.
The Red Devils are seemingly already making plans to strengthen their squad for next season and a new top class goal-scorer is a priority. Wout Weghorst was signed as a short-term option in January but Man Utd need a long-term solution this summer.
Erik ten Hag’s side have been linked with numerous options in recent times with Harry Kane being mentioned as their primary target, but Vlahovic has also reportedly been on the Old Trafford club’s radar.
According to the report by Calciomercato, Vlahovic could look to move away from the Allianz Stadium amid the Bianconeri’s recent turmoil and Juventus would want a three-digit fee – which indicates at least €100m (£89m) – if they are forced to cash in.
The report further claims that Manchester United are keen on luring the Serbian to Old Trafford and are currently ‘in the front row’ to secure his signature.

However, signing Vlahovic won’t be straightforward for Man Utd as Premier League leaders, Arsenal are also plotting a swoop for the 23-year-old striker.
The Gunners hold a long-term interest in Vlahovic as they were heavily linked with a move for the forward before his switch to Allianz Stadium. And after missing out last time around, Mikel Arteta’s side have now reignited their interest in the Serbian to bolster the front line for next season.
The forward still has three and a half years left in his current contract. So, Massimiliano Allegri’s side are in a solid position to demand a big fee if they are forced to sell in the summer.
It has previously been suggested that Juventus are looking to cash in on some of their biggest assets amid their financial difficulties and the Serbian’s sale would bring in a large fee for the Serie A giants.
Vlahovic is a very talented player and possesses high potential. In addition, he has already established himself as one of the best forwards in Serie A at a young age. So, he would certainly be a great coup for Man Utd or Arsenal if either club were able to sign him at the end of the season.
