Tottenhaam plotting double swoop to sign Savinho & Omar Marmoush

Tottenham Hotspur are plotting an audacious double swoop to sign Savinho and Omar Marmoush from Manchester City this summer, as per David Ornstein.
Tottenham are on an ambitious summer transfer spree as they look to improve their performances and results after two consecutive 17th-place finishes.
So far, they have bought Marcos Senesi from Bournemouth and Andy Robertson on free transfers, while Jan Paul van Hecke also joined in a big-money move as part of a broad defensive revamp at the club.
Midfield has also been a clear priority for the North London club, with significant investment already made in the position, having completed club-record deals for Mateus Fernandes from West Ham United and Sandro Tonali from Newcastle United.
The attack now appears to be the next position the club are focusing on, with David Ornstein reporting that Tottenham have made Man City’s Marmoush and Savinho the primary targets to bolster their attack.
Amid suggestions Spurs would be pursuing one of the forwards, Ornstein adds that the North London club are working on completing a double swoop to sign both attackers.
Double swoop
While no agreement has been reached yet, Tottenham are advancing in talks with City over the transfers of Marmoush and Savinho to Tottenham Hotspur Stadium this summer, according to the transfer expert.
Both Marmoush and Savinho struggled for regular playing time last season. Marmoush, expected to cost around his £42m Transfermarkt valuation, played in just 21 games last season, with only eight starts.
Savinho, valued at £29m by Transfermarkt, also struggled for regular playing time despite committing to the club on a long-term contract. He only started 14 games in all competitions, including only seven starts in the Premier League.
Hence, the prospect of regular playing time could appeal to the attacking duo, and Tottenham will hope to use that to their advantage when negotiating personal terms.
Tactically, Marmoush and Savinho would offer Roberto De Zerbi a wider range of tactical options because of their immense qualities on and off the ball, as well as their ability to alternate positions on the front line.
However, with at least three years remaining in both players’ contracts, there’s an expectation that the deal will not come cheap, as City will be looking to amass profit from their sales.
