[Video Goals] Borussia Dortmund 3-0 Tottenham: Reus Double Sinks Spurs

By on March 10, 2016

Tottenham Hotspur have left themselves a mountain to climb after crashing to a 3-0 defeat to Borussia Dortmund at the Westfalenstadion on Thursday evening.

Mauricio Pochettino took the risk of fielding a weakened side for tonight’s first leg with several of his key men rested for the game and unfortunately that decision back-fired in spectacular fashion.

Dortmund bossed the game from the outset and in-form striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang opened the scoring with a superb header midway through the first half with Spurs lucky to be just one down at half-time.

The hosts then doubled their advantage in the 60th minute when Marco Reus ghosted in at the far post to thrash home the second with a powerful finish.

Dortmund then wrapped things up with a fine third in the 70th minute as Reus grabbed his second of the game with a composed finish following a fine move involving Aubameyang and Castro.

Spurs will need need something of a miracle in the second leg at White Hart Lane next week to see then turn things around.

I don’t care how many goals Aubameyang scores, with a hair style like that he wants locking up!
