By on March 5, 2017

Harry Kane scored two goals as Tottenham cemented their position in the top four with a 3-2 win over Everton at White Hart Lane this afternoon.

The in-form England international opened the scoring midway through the first half after firing home from over 20 yards with a powerful effort before doubling Tottenham’s lead shortly after half time with a neat finish.

Everton pulled one back with Romelu Lukaku making it 2-1 before Spurs restored their two-goal cushion in the 92nd minute when Dele Alli poked home following a Harry Winks free-kick.

The Toffees hit back immediately when Enner Valencia tapped home at the far post following a Ross Barkley free-kick but Spurs held on to secure their ninth consecutive home win.

The victory sees Tottenham move four points clear of third-placed Liverpool while they are now just seven points adrift of leaders Chelsea.
