Man Utd Ready To Launch £26m Bid To Sign Brazilian Forward

Manchester United are ready to launch a £26m bid to sign Bordeaux’s highly-rated forward Malcom when the transfer window reopens next month

The January transfer window is just around the corner meaning clubs are working hard on potential deals so we’ll bring you all the latest gossip from around the globe. Today, Man Utd are linked with Malcom…

Manchester United are ready to launch a £26m bid to sign Bordeaux’s highly-rated forward Malcom when the transfer window reopens next month, according to The Times via the Mirror.

Jose Mourinho is reportedly being given up to £80m to spend during the January transfer window as United look to try and catch run-away Premier League leaders Manchester City.

A new attacker seems to be on the agenda as Henrikh Mkhitaryan has fallen badly out-of-favour in recent weeks with the Armenian international axed from Mourinho’s last five squads.

The former Borussia Dortmund playmaker is being linked with a move to Italy this winter and it seems Mourinho is looking to replace Mkhitaryan with Malcom next month.

That’s because the Mirror are citing a report from The Times that claims United want to sign the 20-year-old in January and are ready to test Bordeaux’s resolve with a £26m offer.

Malcom came through the youth ranks at Corinthians before joining Bordeaux in January 2016 and he’s developed in to one of the most exciting attackers in French football over the past two years.

The South American forward has scored seven goals and provided four assists in his 17 Ligue 1 games so far and it looks like that form has caught the eye of United boss Mourinho.

Malcom is capable of playing anywhere across the attacking midfield positions but he’s mostly played on the right wing so he’d offer United some balance as Marcus Rashford and Anthony Martial both prefer to play from the left.

We’ll have to wait and see how things develop but I think £26m would be an excellent piece of business if United could get a deal agreed with Bordeaux for Malcom’s signature this winter.
