[Teams] Tottenham vs Basel: Confirmed Line-ups

By on April 4, 2013

Tottenham welcome FC Basel to White Hart Lane tonight for the first leg of their Europa League quarter final clash.

Spurs reached the last eight after edging past Italian giants Inter Milan on the away goals rule. The Londoners looked to be cruising through following a 3-0 first leg win but needed an extra time goal from Emmanuel Adebayor to clinch a place in the quarters after a stunning fightback from the Serie A club.

Boss Andre Villas-Boas has opted to start Kyle Naughton and William Gallas at the back, while Brad Friedel continues to keep goal in European games. Emmanuel Adebayor starts up front in Jermain Defoe’s absence. Here are the confirmed line-ups:

Tottenham Team

Friedel, Naughton, Gallas, Vertonghen, Assou-Ekotto, Parker, Dembele, Lennon, Bale, Holtby, Adebayor

Subs: Lloris, Dawson, Caulker, Livermore, Huddlestone, Sigurdsson, Dempsey

Basel Team

Sommer; Steinhöfer, Schär, Dragovic, Voser; Elneny, Serey Die; Salah, F. Frei, Stocker; Streller.
