[Video Highlights] Tottenham 2-2 Basel: Bale Injury Overshadows Spurs Comeback

Tottenham came from 2-0 down to salvage a 2-2 draw against Basel in the first leg of their Europa League quarter final clash on Thursday night but the comeback was overshadowed by a nasty looking injury to Gareth Bale. 

The visitors started the brighter of the two sides and raced into a 2-0 lead thanks to goals from Stocker and Frei but Tottenham pulled a vital goal back just before the break when Emmanuel Adebayor was on hand to smash home from close range. Gylfi Sigurdsson then made it 2-2 with a deflected effort from outside the box to give Spurs hope going to Switzerland for the second leg.

However, with Aaron Lennon and William Gallas already forced off with injuries, Spurs night got a whole lot worse when Bale turned his ankle in the final minute and could be facing a spell on the sidelines. Watch the goals and Bale’s incident here:
