Arsenal Team News: Wenger Confirms Duo Will Miss Dinamo Game + Wilshere Update

Arsenal are in Croatia ahead of their Champions League group stage opener against Dinamo Zagreb tomorrow night and Arsene Wenger has given a team news and injury update.
The Gunner boss confirmed that Aaron Ramsey and Hector Bellerin have been left back in North London to rest ahead of Saturday’s huge clash against Chelsea.
Ramsey has been ever-present this season after starting all six of our games in all competitions so the Welshman has been given a well-earned break and should be fresh for this weekend’s trip to Stamford Bridge.
Bellerin has missed just one game – our defeat to West Ham – so the Spaniard has also earned his rest with Mathieu Debuchy expected to step-in at right-back tomorrow night.
Otherwise, Wenger says everybody else who trained has travelled to Croatia meaning Per Mertesacker could be back in contention after taking part in training at London Colney today.
One man who definitely won’t feature against Dinamo is Jack Wilshere after the club confirmed earlier today that he’s set to undergo yet more surgery on his left fibula that will rule him out for three months.
When quizzed on the midfielder’s latest setback, Wenger said Jack is still young enough to get over this injury and is confident the 23-year-old will go on to have a very successful career at the highest level.
It’s obviously a devastating blow for Wilshere to be ruled out again but let’s hope Arsene is right and he can overcome his latest injury setback and get his career back on track soon.
