Anderlecht vs Tottenham Preview, Team News, Likely Line-Up & Predicted Score
Tottenham take on Anderlecht in the Europa League this evening. Here’s a preview with team news, likely line-up and predicted score for the game.
Tottenham Hotspur will look to cement their position at the top of Group J when they take on Anderlecht in the Europa League this evening.
Spurs lead the way after they followed up their win over Qarabag at White Hart Lane by drawing 1-1 at Monaco three weeks ago so they can take another huge step towards qualification from the group with a win tonight.
Mauricio Pochettino’s men have drawn their last three matches, most recently a 0-0 stalemate at home to Liverpool on Saturday, so the North Londoners will be desperate to start turning those draws in to victories.
Anderlecht sit bottom of Group J having only taken one point so far and surprisingly lost to Qarabag last time out so boss Besnik Hasi will be hoping to get their campaign back on track on home soil this evening.
Team news
Tottenham welcome Ryan Mason back in to the squad after he recovered from a knee injury but the midfielder isn’t considered ready to start so he’s likely to be on the bench.
Pochettino has hinted he’ll rest Harry Kane after the striker picked up a minor knock at the weekend. Clinton N’Jie could therefore start up front.
Eric Dier is available again after completing his domestic suspension but Heung-Min Son, Federico Fazio, Nabil Bentaleb and Alex Pritchard are all still out injured.
Nacer Chadli has also been ruled out for six weeks after suffering a nasty ankle injury so Andros Townsend could come in tonight.
Likely Line-Up
Predicted Score
Anderlecht 1-2 Tottenham: Spurs are proving extremely difficult to beat this season and haven’t tasted defeat since the opening weekend of the season. I fancy the North Londoners to come home with all three points this evening.
What do you think? What line-up would you like to see start?
