Tottenham Hotspur have confirmed they’ve been dealt a huge blow with the news that Hugo Lloris has been ruled out for a month with a hamstring injury.
The French international was forced off during the first half of Tottenham’s 1-1 draw with Everton at Goodison Park on Saturday afternoon after appearing to tweak his left hamstring while taking a clearance.
Spurs have sent the keeper to undergo further assessment and scans and now released a statement on TottenhamHotspur.com confirming that Lloris is expected to be on the sidelines for the next four weeks.
Lloris will continue to be monitored by the clubs medical staff during his rehabilitation but is now certain to miss Tottenham’s upcoming games with Crystal Palace at White Hart Lane on Saturday.
The 29-year-old is also expected to sit out Tottenham’s huge clash the following week when they welcome Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool to north London and could be a doubt for the trip to the Britannia Stadium to take on Stoke after the international break.
Michel Vorm is now in-line to deputise for the next three games but Lloris will, however, be hoping to make his return to action when Tottenham entertain Sunderland on Sunday September 18th.
