Tottenham vs Everton Preview, Team News, Line-Ups, Betting Tips & Predicted Score
Tottenham take on Everton at White Hart Lane on Sunday afternoon. Here is a preview with team news, line-ups, betting tips and predicted score.
Tottenham will be looking to cement their position in the top four of the Premier League table when they take on Everton at White Hart Lane on Sunday afternoon.
Spurs come in to the game off the back of a comfortable victory over Stoke City last weekend that saw Harry Kane score a hat-trick en route to a 4-0 win at White Hart Lane.
That win saw Tottenham maintain their second placed position in the table and not only can they move clear of those below then but Mauricio Pochettino’s men can close the gap on Chelsea to seven points with a win.
However, Everton arrive in the capital in decent form themselves and Ronald Koeman’s side can move to within two points of Manchester United with a win tomorrow.
Team news
Tottenham will hand a late fitness test to Harry Kane after he picked up a knock during the win over Stoke but the striker is expected to be passed fit.
Jan Vertonghen is also expected to be available despite aggravating an ankle problem last weekend while a late decision will also be made over Toby Alderweireld, who’s got a groin injury.
Danny Rose is certain to miss out as he’s still several weeks away from recovering from a knee injury so Ben Davies will continue to deputise.
Erik Lamela is also still missing as he continues to work on his fitness following four months out with a hip injury.
Everton have no fresh injuries to worry about but Muhamed Besic is back in training following a knee injury while Dominic Calvert-Lewin has recovered from an ankle injury.
Likely Line-Ups
Predicted Score
Tottenham 2-1 Everton: Spurs have been excellent at home so far this season and are searching for a club record ninth successive league win at the Lane. Everton are obviously a dangerous side and usually turn up in big games so I’m expecting a closely fought match but in the end Tottenham should have too much for the Toffees.
