Tottenham have submitted a £17.5m bid for AC Milan attacker Suso as Mauricio Pochettino looks to kick start his summer transfer business, according to a report by TeamTalk.
The Argentinean coach is yet to make any major new additions to his squad but it seems Pochettino is finally ready to dip in to the transfer market with a new attacker on the agenda.
Suso has emerged as a target in recent weeks and TeamTalk are citing reports coming out of Italy that claim Spurs have now tested AC Milan’s resolve with an opening offer worth £17.5m.
Milan are currently undergoing a major overhaul of their squad this summer and Suso is being tipped to leave as he’s set to fall down the pecking order following the arrivals of Hakan Calhanoglu and Andre Silva.
The Spaniard has two years left on his current contract and is yet to sign an extension so Milan may be tempted to accept Tottenham’s bid and cash-in on the 23-year-old.
Should the north Londoners get their hands on Suso then it could open the door for Erik Lamela to head back to Italy with Inter Milan strongly linked with a move for the Argentinean international.
As well as strengthening his attack, Pochettino is now also in the market for a new right-back after Kyle Walker completed his record move to Manchester City earlier today.
It looks like the Spurs boss has already identified Walker’s replacement as the Evening Standard claim Porto are confident Tottenham are ready to meet their £22m asking price to sign Ricardo Pereira.
The 23-year-old has enjoyed two excellent seasons on loan at Nice but he could now be set for a permanent switch to White Hart Lane as Pochettino looks to provide competition for Kieran Trippier.

Pereira is a versatile defender as although he’s predominantly played as a right-back he is also capable of playing on the left and is able to play in the wing-back role’s if needed so he’d be comfortable in any formation Pochettino deploys.
We’ll have to wait and see how things develop but it looks as though Spurs could be set to splash the cash as Pochettino eyes a £39.5m double swoop for Suso and Pereira over the coming weeks.
