Arsenal, Chelsea & Liverpool Preparing January Bids For World Cup Winning Forward
Arsenal, Chelsea and Liverpool are all preparing bids to try and sign unsettled Bayern Munich forward Thomas Muller during the January transfer window
The transfer window is now closed but clubs are already thinking ahead to January and next summer so we’ll bring you all the latest gossip from around the globe. Today, Thomas Muller is linked with a move to the Premier League….
Arsenal, Chelsea and Liverpool are all preparing bids to try and sign unsettled Bayern Munich forward Thomas Muller during the January transfer window, according to a report in the Mirror.
Muller has been with Bayern his entire career having joined the club’s youth system as a kid and he’s gone on to play almost 400 games for the first team to help the German giants win a whole host of top honours.
However, the 27-year-old endured one of the worst seasons of his career last year as Muller scored just 5 goals and struggled to make an impact under Carlo Ancelotti.
The German international is also not being deployed in his favoured central role when he does play and he was linked with a move away from the Allianz Arena throughout the summer window.
A move failed to materialise in the end but it seems plenty of clubs are going to continue to monitor Muller’s situation ahead of the January transfer window and a move to England could be on the cards.
The Mirror are citing a report from German outlet Bild that claims Arsenal, Chelsea and Liverpool are all showing a keen interest and are expected to make bids for Muller this winter.
Arsene Wenger will need to find a replacement for Alexis Sanchez as the Chilean international is set to run down the final year of his contract at the Emirates and Muller would be a marquee signing if the Gunners could pull it off.
However, it seems Arsenal will face stiff competition from Chelsea and Liverpool and the duo have the financial clout to compete with the north Londoners for Muller’s signature if he decides to leave Bayern in January.

Top players like Muller very rarely push for a change of club mid-season but he may be forced to if he’s not given a prominent role by Ancelotti over the coming months, especially ahead of next summer’s World Cup final’s, and I think he’d be a superb signing for any of the English trio being linked.
