Watford vs Arsenal Preview, Team News, Line-ups, Betting Tips & Predicted Score
Arsenal take on Watford at Vicarage Road on Saturday evening. Here is a preview with team news, line-ups, betting tips and predicted score
Arsenal will look to continue their push for the top four when we take on Watford at Vicarage Road on Saturday evening.
We found some excellent form before the international break as we’re unbeaten in our last seven games in all competitions since the 4-0 humiliation at Anfield in August.
Consecutive 2-0 home victories over West Brom and Brighton have seen us climb up to fifth place in the Premier League table so another win tomorrow would keep the pressure on the top four.
However, this is going to be a tough game as Watford have enjoyed an encouraging start to the new campaign with Marco Silva’s side currently sitting eighth – just one point behind Arsenal.
Team news
Laurent Koscielny looks to have won his race to be passed fit after returning to full training today having recovered from an Achilles injury that’s kept him out of the last two games.
Sead Kolasinac was also in training today so looks to have overcome a minor hip problem that forced him off at half-time during Bosnia’s win over Estonia earlier this week.
Mesut Ozil is back in contention after recovering from a knee injury while Danny Welbeck also returns following five games out with a groin problem.
Alexis Sanchez is expected to feature despite his late arrival back in north London following his exploits with Chile but Shkodran Mustafi has been ruled out for up to six weeks with a hamstring injury.
Francis Coquelin could be back in contention after recovering from a hamstring issue but Calum Chambers and Santi Cazorla remain unavailable.
Watford will hand a late fitness test to Andre Carrillo as he also arrived back late from international duty with Peru but Isaac Success has been ruled out for eight weeks with a knee injury.
Likely Line-Ups
Predicted Score
Watford 1-2 Arsenal: Wenger has an excellent record against Watford having won eight of his ten matches against them and our local training neighbours haven’t kept a clean sheet against Arsenal since 1988. Despite their impressive start, Watford actually haven’t won at home yet this campaign having picked up just two points from their opening three matches at Vicarage Road. I expect a decent game but fancy Arsenal to edge it.
