Arsenal, Liverpool & Man Utd Register Interest In Signing £62m Attacker
Arsenal, Liverpool and Manchester United have all expressed their interest in signing Heung-min Son this summer but Tottenham want £62m for the attacker
The summer transfer window is open and managers are working hard on their transfer targets so we’ll bring you all the latest gossip from around the globe. Today, Arsenal, Liverpool and Man Utd are linked with Spurs star Heung-min Son…
Arsenal, Liverpool and Manchester United have all expressed their interest in signing Heung-min Son this summer but Tottenham want £62m for the attacker, according to a report in the Metro.
Son made his name in Germany with Bayer Leverkusen before joining Spurs in 2015 and he’s proven to be an excellent addition to their squad having provided 47 goals and 26 assists in his 140 appearances in all competitions.
The 25-year-old enjoyed his best season to date last year after scoring 18 goals and setting up a further 11 for his team-mates to help Tottenham finish third in the Premier League table and qualify for the Champions League.
However, Son’s future in north London is in doubt as he’s got two year remaining on his contract and talks over an extension have failed to find a satisfactory conclusion so far, leading to speculation he could be on the move this summer.
It seems the situation has alerted some of Tottenham’s rivals as the Metro are citing a report from Sport1 that claims Arsenal, Liverpool and Manchester United have all expressed their interest in signing Son.
The report says the South Korean attacker is open to the idea of leaving White Hart Lane but Spurs chairman Daniel Levy is notoriously difficult to deal with and it’s claimed he will demand £62m to sell Son this summer.
New Arsenal boss Unai Emery is overhauling the squad he inherited from Arsene Wenger and he’s in the market for a new attacker but it would be difficult to see the Gunners doing business with their fierce North London rivals.
Jurgen Klopp is looking to add depth to his attacking options and Son would provide a top class alternative to Mo Salah and Sadio Mane and Liverpool still have money to spend following the sale of Philippe Coutinho in January.
However, United are also being tipped to strengthen throughout their squad this summer and obviously Jose Mourinho has the financial muscle available to compete with the likes of Liverpool for Son’s signature.

We’ll have to wait and see how things develop over the coming weeks as Son is still at the World Cup preparing for South Korea’s final group stage game against Germany but I’d personally be surprised to see the attacker join any of Tottenham’s rivals this summer.
