The summer transfer window is open and managers are working hard on their transfer targets so we’ll bring you all the latest gossip from around the globe. Today, Man Utd have agreed a deal to sign Arsenal target Hirving Lozano…
Manchester United have hijacked Arsenal’s attempts to sign Hirving Lozano after agreeing a £37m deal to sign the PSV Eindhoven winger, according to a report by TeamTalk.
Lozano came through the ranks in his homeland with Mexican side Pachuca before joining PSV for £7m last summer and he enjoyed an excellent debut season in Europe after providing an impressive 19 goals and 11 assists in his 34 appearances to help win the Eredivisie title.
The 22-year-old took his excellent form in to the World Cup as he starred for Mexico to help them reach the last-16 before they were knocked out by Brazil but his impressive performances in Russia appear to have caught the eye of clubs here in the Premier League.
Italian outlet CalcioMercato reported late last week that Arsenal had made contact with Lozano’s agent to discuss a potential move to north London as Unai Emery looks to strengthen his attacking options this summer.
The new Gunners boss has been busy tightening his back-line with a number of defensive additions to the squad but Emery is also seemingly in the market for a winger and Lozano is reportedly on his radar.
However, it looks like Arsenal could miss out on the attacker as TeamTalk are citing various reports that claim Man Utd have swooped in to agree a £37m deal with PSV to sign Lozano this summer.
The report says Jose Mourinho was able to convince the attacker to join United following talks with his agent Mino Raiola over the weekend and that played a key role in Lozano agreeing a switch to Old Trafford.
Mourinho has been fairly prudent in the transfer market as although he’s signed youngster Diogo Dalot and third choice keeper Lee Grant, Fred has been the only significant addition to the squad so far.
The United boss knows he needs to make further additions if the Red Devils are to compete with Man City next season and Lozano could be viewed as a potential replacement for Anthony Martial amid speculation surrounding his future at Old Trafford.

We’ll have to wait and see how things develop but if Lozano could settle as quickly in England as he did in Holland then he’d be an excellent signing for United if this proposed deal gets over the line.
