Tottenham Hotspur lead London rivals Arsenal and Chelsea in the race to sign Malcom after opening talks with Bordeaux over a deal to sign the £45m-rated winger, according to the Sun.
Malcom joined Bordeaux from Corinthians in January 2016 and he’s developed in to one of the most exciting young attackers in European football over the past two-and-a-half years. The 21-year-old provided 12 goals and 8 assists last season to help Bordeaux finish 6th in the Ligue 1 table and he’s tipped to become a senior international with Brazil having represented his country at U23 level.
The South American attacker has caught the attention of several clubs here in the Premier League with the Sun claiming that Arsenal, Chelsea and Tottenham have all expressed their interest in signing him in recent months.
The Gunners are busy revamping their squad in the post Arsene Wenger era and new boss Unai Emery is seemingly keen on signing a new winger with Malcom still on the north Londoners radar.
Chelsea have been quiet in the market so far this summer but the Blues are expected to pick things up over the coming weeks and Malcom could be viewed as a potential replacement for Willian amid speculation surrounding his future at Stamford Bridge.
However, the Sun cites reports from France that claim it’s Tottenham who’re leading Arsenal and Chelsea in the chase to sign Malcom after they opened talks with Bordeaux about a potential deal.
The newspaper says Spurs have also made contact with the youngsters representatives to discuss a possible move to White Hart Lane with Bordeaux valuing Malcom at around £45m.
Mauricio Pochettino is looking to further strengthen his squad as he tries to turn Tottenham in to genuine title contenders and Malcom would give him another top quality option in attack if they could get a deal agreed.

Obviously there is still time for the likes of Arsenal and Chelsea to step-up their interest but as it stands it seems Tottenham are in pole position and I think Malcom would be an excellent signing if they could get a deal over the line.
