Arsenal have provided a full team news and injury update ahead of our trip to Crystal Palace on Sunday including the latest on Nacho Monreal, Sead Kolasinac and Laurent Koscielny.
We head to Selhurst Park this weekend looking to extend our winning streak to an incredible 12 matches in all competitions after beating Sporting Lisbon in the Europa League on Thursday night but it remains to be seen whether Monreal or Kolasinac will be available.
The duo have missed our last two games against Leicester City and Sporting Lisbon after picking up hamstring injuries in training last weekend and the club have confirmed both left-backs will need to be assessed before their availability against Palace is determined.
Laurent Koscielny has been slowly integrated back in to full training over the past couple of weeks as he looks to return from an Achilles injury that he sustained during the closing stages of last season but the centre-back isn’t expected to be available for selection until next month.
However, Petr Cech could make his return to action on Sunday after recovering from a hamstring injury that he picked up against Watford a month ago while Ainsley Maitland-Niles is also pushing for a recall after overcoming a fractured leg that he sustained on the opening weekend of the season.
The only other injury concern is Dinos Mavropanos and the young Greek centre-back isn’t due to resume full training until some point in November as he continues to recover from a niggling groin injury.
Here is the update from Arsenal.com:
Nacho Monreal
Minor right hamstring. Being assessed ahead of Crystal Palace (a) on Sunday, October 28.Sead Kolasinac

Right Achilles tendon repair. Currently being integrated back into full training.Dinos Mavropanos
Groin injury. Expected to return to full training in November.
Let’s pray Monreal or Kolasinac are passed fit otherwise we’ll have a problem at left-back. Stephan Lichtsteiner filled-in against Leicester while Emery tested Granit Xhaka in the position on Thursday night but I think it’s safe to say we need one of our established left-backs this weekend.
It’s also going to be interesting to see who starts in goal as Cech is available again but Bernd Leno has performed extremely well during his absence so Emery has a big decision to make on Sunday.
