Tottenham have suffered a double injury blow with six players now ruled out of the trip to Leicester City on Saturday night.

Tottenham will be looking to cement their position in the top four with a win over Leicester City at the King Power Stadium on Saturday night.

The club have issued a full team news and injury update on TottenhamHotspur.com ahead of the game and confirmed a double injury blow with the news that Juan Foyth and Kieran Trippier will both miss the match this weekend.

Trippier has been nursing a niggling groin injury all season and was once again forced off after aggravating the issue during the 3-1 victory over Southampton on Wednesday night. The right-back will need to be further assessed by the Spurs medical team but he won’t be available for selection this weekend.

Foyth completed the full ninety minutes against the Saints at Wembley in midweek but the young South American centre-back picked up a hamstring injury and is now out of the trip to Leicester.

With Davinson Sanchez still working his way back to fitness from a hamstring injury that’s hampered him recently, it means Mauricio Pochettino is low on options in the middle of defence tomorrow night.

The Spurs boss also has problems in midfield as Mousa Dembele remains on the sidelines with an ankle injury that could keep him out until the New Year while Victor Wanyama is still nursing a problematic knee injury.

The final concern for Tottenham is Erik Lamela as the club have confirmed the Argentinean international won’t make the trip to Leicester due to a thigh injury that’s kept him out of the last two matches.

However, speaking to the media at his pre-match press conference this afternoon, Pochettino suggested that Lamela could be back in contention for the huge Champions League clash with Barcelona next week while he also revealed that Foyth’s injury isn’t serious.

Pochettino is expected to freshen-up his starting eleven ahead of the trip to Barcelona next week with the likes of Dele Alli, Serge Aurier, Ben Davies and Moussa Sissoko pushing for recalls while Jan Vertonghen is available again after serving a one-match suspension against Southampton.

Spurs head in to the weekend action sitting third in the table – but just one point ahead of Arsenal and Chelsea – so they need a win at Leicester to maintain their position in the top four.
