Hueng-min Son scored twice as Tottenham moved up to second in the Premier League table with a 5-0 thrashing of Bournemouth at Wembley this afternoon.
Spurs opened the scoring in the 16th minute when Christian Eriksen’s 20-yard effort found it’s way past Asmir Begovic thanks to a wicked deflection and Son doubled the advantage just minutes later as he slotted home from the edge of the area.
Tottenham were rampant and they made it 3-0 in the 35th minute with Lucas Moura sweeping home from 18 yards following a lovely move that saw Kyle Walker-Peters pick-out the Brazilian attacker.
Harry Kane then got himself in on the action as the striker lashed home a left-footed volley from a superb Eriksen pass to make it 4-0 in the 61st minute before Son completed the rout with a close-range finish after Moura’s shot had been parried.
With Manchester City losing at Leicester, Tottenham have jumped in to second place and now trail leaders Liverpool by six points after they beat Newcastle 4-0 at Anfield.
