Vidic & Fletcher To Return After A Welcome International Break For United
The International Break for the Premier League international fixtures is usually one where the majority of United fans don’t want it to come about as it comes at a time when we are slap bang in the middle of competing for various trophies.
However this weeks international break couldn’t have come at a better time as far as Man Utd are concerned. If we were to have a game tomorrow our team would be without 4 players who would be in most peoples first 11 – Ferdinand, Vidic, Rafael and Fletcher.
Added to that are injuries to Anderson, Brown, O’Shea and of course Owen Hargreaves! If that’s not enough of a cause for concern then add in the suspensions for Scholes and Evans and if Utd were to have a game this weekend it would be a very disjointed team!
Luckily though the break has come when it did which is something that Ferguson spoke about earlier in the week. The week off should see Vidic and Fletcher definitely recover in time for the next game against West Ham on the 2nd April.
Both Anderson and Hargreaves have started training again which is great news and Michael Owen is also ready to go again after a recent injury.
Rafael, Brown and O’Shea should hopefully all return the following week and Rio Ferdinand has been pencilled in to return in the second leg of the Champions League Quarter Final against Chelsea.
If we can all of these players back in time for the run in for the Treble it will be a major boost for our chances. Alex Ferguson, and every Manchester United fan, will be praying for the injury free return of all of our players on international duty!
Which Utd player would you least like to see get injured on International Duty?
