TRANSFER NEWS: Arshavin Set For £7m Move, Italian Giants Chase Nani
Premiership rivals Arsenal and Manchester United have had very different ends to their seasons, but they have one thing in common today….they could be about to lose a talented winger if reports are to be believed.
Arshavin Off On The Cheap
Russian winger Andrey Arshavin is set for a return to his native Russia and former club Zenit St Petersburg in a cut price deal, of just £7million reports the Mirror.
The 29-year old has failed to maintain his form this season after a blistering start to his Arsenal career and Wenger is prepared to list to offers for the Russian international but would expect to recoup the majority of the £12million he paid just over 2 years ago.
Italian Duo Chase Nani
The Metro reports that Inter and Juventus are planning a summer swoop for Manchester United’s Luís Carlos Almeida da Cunha, also known as Nani.
Both Inter and Juventus are keen on the 24-year old, but it’s the Turin giants who are set to make the first move. A £27million bid may be enough to prize the Portuguese winger away from Old Trafford. Nani himself has been in fine form this term, scoring 10 and assisting 14. But with the return of Valencia and Park preferred for “bigger games” Fergie may be tempted to cash in on the former Sporting starlet.
