Agent Of Chelsea Target Hits Out
By Football-Talk.
The agent of Zlatan Ibrahimovic has warned that his client will not be forced out of Barcelona, amid reports that Barca president Juan Laporta has arranged to have the player offered to Chelsea and Manchester City.
Reports last week claimed that the La Liga champions had employed ‘super agent’ Pini Zahavi to contact both Chelsea and Manchester City to offer Ibrahimovic in a £40m deal after the striker endured a relatively disappointing season with the Catalna giants.
But Mino Raiola has made it clear that his client will make the final decision on whether to leave Barcelona or not.
Speaking to El Mundo Deportivo, he said: “Only when Zlatan decides to leave, will he leave. No representative can do things related to my players, and president (Joan) Laporta has no right to order anything with any other agent.”
It is not clear if either City or Chelsea showed any interest in Ibrahimovic, but with Carlo Ancelotti set to be given a large transfer fund this summer and City seemingly having a bottomless pit available to them, it is understandable why they were targeted as possible suitors.
