Arsenal
World Cup Day 3: Betting Preview
By Joshua Poole.
Germany v Australia
Corner Handicap Australia +3 4/5 SKYBET – I do not expect a huge number of corners in this game and certainly see no reason why Germany should dominate the corner count. With a head-start of 3 corners there is great value in this bet.
Under 2.5 goals 5/6 SKYBET – As of yet there has not been more than 2 goals in a World Cup game. Teams are desperate not to lose their first match and stronger teams seem happy to settle with a goal advantage. I wonder if the new ball is having a hindrance on players shooting ability; long shots seem to be flying over the bar at almost every attempt and one-on-ones are predominately being won by the keepers. I can’t remember a free-kick hitting the target as of yet!
Algeria v Slovenia
Double Chance Algeria or Draw 4/7 BET 365 – This is an even game between the two supposed lesser teams of England’s group. I imagine both teams will be reasonably satisfied with a draw to reach level points with their rivals and see this again as being a low scoring affair. This being so I believe Algeria are equally capable of winning this match on African soil and with the draw also paying out, this is a decent bet.
Serbia v Ghana
Handicap Betting Ghana + 1 4/6 SKYBET – Skybet are being a lot more generous on this market than other bookies. Ghana essentially needs to draw or win. I can see them putting in a solid performance with the support of the African crowd and at least matching, if not beating a decent Serbia side.
Under 2.5 Goals 4/7 SKYBET – As mentioned earlier all the games so far seem to be lacking goals and there is no reason for any difference in this encounter. Both sides will take a draw before risking defeat.
Corner Handicap +2 Ghana 4/5 SKYBET – It is a surprise to be that Skybet have offered this market so generously. I see this as an even game but with a two corner advantage and odds of almost evens this is a terrific chance to make some profit.
