Swansea City manager Brendan Rodgers has rejected the chance to speak with Liverpool regarding their vacant managerial position, according to Sky Sports News.
The Merseysiders are on the look-out for a new boss after sacking Kenny Dalglish on Wednesday following a disastrous league campaign that saw the Reds finish in 8th position, their worst in 18 seasons.
The clubs owners have made it clear they plan to speak with several candidates regarding the position, and have already been granted permission from Wigan to speak with Roberto Martinez.
However, according to Sky Sports today, Swansea City manager Brendan Rodgers isn’t interested in replacing Dalglish after the North Irishman rejected the opportunity to speak with FSG.
Rodgers has enjoyed an excellent first season in the Premier League with the Swans, leading them to an 11th place finish and playing entertaining football along the way.
