Tottenham welcome London rivals Chelsea to White Hart Lane for the early Saturday kick off, here are the confirmed line-ups for both sides ahead of the game.
Tottenham welcome London rivals Chelsea to White Hart Lane for the early Saturday kick off as Premier League football returns after a two week international break.
Andre Villas-Boas will face Chelsea for the first time since being sacked back in March and the Spurs boss would be forgiven for wanting to get one over his former side today.
The Portuguese manager has decided to recall Brad Friedel with Hugo Lloris returning to the bench. Moussa Dembele and Gareth Bale miss out through injury so Sigurdsson and Huddlestone come in. Jermaine Defoe continues up front.
For the visitors, Frank Lampard is only on the bench after missing England’s World Cup qualifying double-header through injury, Oscar plays alongside Mikel and Ramires in midfield. As expected, Gary Cahill comes in for the suspended John Terry.
Confirmed line-ups:
Tottenham Team
Friedel; Walker, Caulker, Gallas, Vertonghen; Sandro, Sigurdsson; Lennon, Dempsey, Huddlestone; Defoe.
SUBS: Lloris, Dawson, Naughton, Falque, Livermore, Townsend, Adebayor.
