The European champions dropped to fourth after Tottenham beat Sunderland 2-1 on Saturday but they can move back above their London rivals if they avoid defeat today. But Everton have top-four aspirations of their own and could in fact move above Chelsea with a win of their own.
Rafa Benitez has recalled Frank Lampard who plays alongside Ramires and David Luiz in midfield. Garry Cahill continues alongside Branislav Ivanovic at the back in the absence of captain John Terry, while Juan Mata and Eden hazard support Fernando Torres up front.
