Luis Suarez ‘Very Close’ To Making Move To Arsenal
The Luis Suarez to Arsenal saga appears to have taken a twist today with speculation intensifying that the striker is close to securing a move to north London.
With the summer transfer window now open, there is plenty of gossip doing the rounds in the newspapers so we’ll keep you up-to-date with the latest transfer rumours. Today, Luis Suarez is believed to be close to making a move to Arsenal.
The Luis Suarez to Arsenal saga appears to have taken another twist today with speculation intensifying that the striker is close to securing a move to north London, according to the Metro.
The report claims the Uruguayan hitman has made no secret of his desire to quit Anfield this summer with the Gunners making a strong push to try and persuade him to swap Merseyside for north London.
Arsene Wenger saw an opening bid of £30m rejected two weeks ago but widespread reports suggest he’s ready to go back in with an improved offer to test Liverpool’s resolve in keeping hold of the unsettled striker.
Suarez linked-up with his team mates in Melbourne on Sunday and is believed to have held face-to-face talks with Brendan Rodgers on Monday, with the Reds boss understood to be determined to hang on to his top marksman this summer.
However, according to South American journalist Martin Charquero the 26-year-old is now ‘very close’ to securing a sensational move to Arsenal, using his official Twitter account to confirm the news on Monday evening.
Luis Suárez se acerca al Arsenal.

Translated, this means ‘Luis Suarez is very close to Arsenal’
The Metro claim Chaquero is close to Suarez and has held a series of interviews with the player in recent months, including one earlier in the summer where Suarez revealed he wanted to leave Anfield, so it certainly seems he could have an inside track on this proposed transfer.
Rodgers remained coy on Suarez’s future when he was quizzed on Monday and of course this is just the opinion of one South American journalist, so it should certainly not be taken at fact, but I think it’s safe to say the future of Luis Suarez should be a lot clearer by the end of this week.
